The Angiogenesis Foundation convened expert panels for clinical trials of coronary angiogenesis, which met in 1999 and 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia, and Anaheim, California, respectively. The charge of the panels was to review the data from therapeutic angiogenesis clinical trials and to make recommendations for improving trial design and for optimizing trial outcomes. The output was published as a white paper in Circulation.
