Rod Smith oversees the Foundation’s medical and scientific communications programs, including its publications, webcasts, and Web site content. In addition, Rod is the primary medical writer for the Foundation. He has more than 12 years experience in medical communications, medical writing and medical journalism, having worked for both for-profit and non-profit organizations, including the New England Journal of Medicine/Massachusetts Medical Society, Boston Scientific Corporation, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, and MS&L Healthcare. Rod has an M.S. in technical/scientific writing from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a member of the American Medical Writers Association.
